Master The Difference Between A Blazer And A Sport Coat

The featured image is a model wearing a burgundy suit.

Suit Jacket

A suit jacket is made with a matching pair of pants, crafted from the same exact fabric. Amongst the three options, suits are considered to be the most formal. If you’re ever wondering which one out of the three you should wear, we recommend reaching for a suit jacket. Some of our favorite shoes to pair with a suit are the Rucci, Postino, and Midtown.

Blazer

The blazer is one step more casual than a suit jacket. It is not made with a matching pair of pants, and can be paired with a variety of colors/fabrics. This is a great option if you’re looking to still remain professional, but not as formal as a suit jacket. We really love these shoes with a blazer: the Sorrento, Rucci, and Berkley.

Sport Coat

Finally, a sport coat is the most casual of the three options. It’s usually crafted using more rugged fabrics and a looser fit to accommodate layering. It pairs well with more casual pants, like khakis or jeans, and can be worn for a variety of occasions. You can never go wrong when choosing a sport coat to top off your look. We recommend the Frenzi, Heist, and Norwalk to perfectly compliment a sport coat.
